SUMMER SCHOOL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

All staff meeting at North Lake School (LMC) on Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.  The purpose of this meeting is to review procedures, access building materials, view classroom layouts, secure necessary paperwork, ask questions, connect with other staff, view health and safety information, receive classroom budget amounts and class lists. Staff will be compensated for attending this meeting.

Aides: We recommend that you view the staff page to see if your classroom assignments have changed.
Teachers: We will have class rosters for you to take home from the meeting.  Class rosters will include parent contact information and any heath or special needs the parent noted at registration.  


Summer School Dates:
Summer School begins on Monday, June 22, 2020, and runs through Friday, July 17, 2020.  There will be no classes on Friday, July 3.

June 29, 30, 1, 2,  (M, T, W, Th) No school Friday, July 3

July 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, (M, T, W, Th, F)

The Arrowhead Area Summer School Cooperative offers three periods per day; each class period runs for 80 minutes.  Contract time for teachers and aides will begin at 7:45 A.M. due to the large number of students who arrive early.  Classes will meet at North Lake School from 8:00 A.M. – 12 NOON.

All staff supervision of student arrival 7:45 am - 8:00 am
Period 1: 8:00 am – 9:20 am 
Period 2: 9:20 am  – 10:40 am
Period 3: 10:40 am - Noon (until hallways are empty)
4K TEACHERS AND AIDES 7:45 am - 12 Noon  4K TEACHERS AND AIDES 7:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. (students to classroom at 7:45 a.m.)

The teacher rate of pay is $32.50 per hour.  Teacher’s aide rate of pay is $15.00 per hour.  Contracts have been mailed.  If you did not receive your contract, please reply to this email to notify us.


All student fees must be used for consumable student supplies.  For each class you must spend all of the funds.  A separate Expense Report with a receipt is required for each class.

NOTE:  Arrowhead area licensed staff will be given preference to teach classes based on familiarity with community, curriculum, and student performance expectations.  Teaching applicants can ,increase the potential for enrollment/employment by designing WI Standards - Based Courses targeting one or more of the following:  hands-on, theme-based, problem/project-based, fun & challenging coursework, and gifted learners.  Keep in mind that students attending summer school are entering 4K through 8th grade in fall of 2019.  Teachers are encouraged to design a course based on their specialty.
